[At some point in the last week, your character received a letter in the mail. Feel free to open and read it, throw it away, or respond to it in whatever way you see fit.]
My name is Mr. 0. You don't know me, but I know quite a bit about you.
I'm putting together a little group called Genesis, and I believe it would be in your best interest to join us.
This place is hardly ideal. We've been summoned here against our will to fight a war that isn't ours, and supposedly our only ways home come with either winning, or remaining at the mercy of the Porter. Of course, there are some that would prefer to stay for whatever reason they have, but even then, their stay is something that can't be guaranteed. They're still stuck hoping that maybe the Porter won't ever send them home, but is that really the life one wants to lead here? One full of uncertainty, with no real control?
Even if the government intends to follow through with allowing us to go home once their war is won, how can we trust them? They've kept the Porter under guard and have studied it for years, and yet they're no closer to understanding it now than they were in the past. If we keep on relying on them, all we'll get to show for it is more uncertainty.
ImPorts need to be the ones in charge of the Porter, we need to be the ones to determine who stays and who goes. We need to be in control of our own fate, not the government, the Porter, or anything else.
This is exactly what Genesis aims to do. We plan to find a way to take control of the Porter so we can be the ones in charge of our own fates, rather than remaining at anyone's mercy. Of course, in order to make this a reality, we'll require your assistance first.
Don't try to contact me with your answer. You won't be able to find me, and you don't need to find me. I'll get back to you soon enough to learn your answer. You won't need to worry about when and where, of course. Someone will be able to find you when the time comes.
Also, I would advise against discussing this message or its contents with anyone else. You can never really know who to trust in this place, after all.
